Dear subscribers,
Today, I want to discuss why I have made the biggest political decision of my life. I have left the Conservative Party to join Reform UK.
This was not a decision taken over night or impulsively. I did not do this under duress. Instead, I did it out of a genuine belief that Reform is Britain’s last hope. Some of the more amusing comments I received hinted that I might be AI-generated or being held hostage by the party’s leadership.
But, since joining Reform, I have never felt freer.
The Party’s members are fundamentally sincere and refreshingly politically aware, in a way that I had ignored when I was a Conservative Party member. They are people of conviction and patriotism. They have joined Reform having previously supported a wide range of political parties, or none at all.
I have joined Reform UK for three reasons:
They can end the illegal immigration crisis.
They will bring down crime.
They are committed to ending wasteful spending at local and governmental levels.
1. On Immigration
Britain’s social fabric is changing daily. Illegal migrants are increasingly putting strain on the NHS and schools. The latest data shows that 2025 will be the highest year on record, in terms of English Channel small boats crossings. It is clear: Keir Starmer is failing to ‘smash the gangs’.
So, if Starmer is failing on this key issue and the Tories are talking tough with their Deportations Bill, why not stick with them?
The answer is: I have lost faith in the Tory brand. They campaign from the right, then govern from the left. On immigration, the infamous ‘Boriswave’ from 2022, is clear. Under a Prime Minister elected to ‘get Brexit done’, people felt like Brexit had never happened in the first place.
The current Shadow Cabinet, as shown by the recent WhatsApp leaks, does not know how to portray a message clearly. Reform offered a far more compelling alternative: clear policies with a vision.
2. On Crime
Britain’s streets are less safe than they have ever been. Knife crime has been steadily on the rise over the last 15 years, excluding the Covid-19 period. Almost every day, you read a horrific story about gang violence, opportunistic theft or armed robbery. Victims deserve better. The country deserves better. Britain needs Reform.
Reform are the only party that will take crime seriously. Their team is padded out with experts on this issue, including Laila Cunningham and Rupert Matthews. As I write this, Reform are currently hosting a live-streamed press conference in East Yorkshire addressing the issue of crime. Whilst other parties either do nothing (Labour in London), pretend we can live in the world of the early 2010s where everyone is a hug-a-husky type (Lib Dems, some Tories) or talk tough without substance (other Tories), Reform are formulating genuine solutions.
3. On Wasteful Spending
Billions of pounds are wasted on quangos. Some bosses of unaccountable bodies in the UK earn up to £600k a year. Reform has already saved millions on wasteful spending in Kent. I’m sure the whole nation would benefit financially from a Reform Government.
The Conservatives still cannot figure out their party line on Net Zero, on DEI or on the Football Regulator; all unnecessary red tape. I believe in a small state. The bloating of arms-length bodies under previous recent Conservative governments and the disparaging of Liz Truss has only made me more steadfast in my beliefs.
Reform will make Great Britain great again.
